Beta Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of WES Alert during its closed beta. Short on purpose: the beta is free and invitation-only.

1. What WES Alert is

WES Alert provides stream alert overlays for Twitch: you connect your Twitch account, configure your alerts in a dashboard, and add an overlay URL to your streaming software. The service reacts to events on your Twitch channel (follows, subscriptions, gifts, bits, raids).

2. Beta status

WES Alert is in closed beta. This means:

  • Access is free and granted by invitation. It is personal and not transferable.
  • The service is provided as is. Features may change, break, or be removed. There is no uptime guarantee.
  • Your configuration and event history may be reset during the beta. We will avoid it, but we do not guarantee against it.
  • We may suspend or end the beta, or your access to it, at any time.

In return, we ask one thing: when something breaks or feels wrong, tell us (Discord or [email protected]).

3. Your account

  • You sign in with Twitch. You must comply with Twitch's own Terms of Service.
  • Your overlay URL contains a private key. Treat it like a password. Anyone with the URL can display your alerts. You can regenerate it at any time from the dashboard (see the Security guide).
  • You are responsible for what you display on your stream through the service.

4. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access other users' data, reverse the API, automate fake events, or use the service for anything illegal or against Twitch's rules. We may revoke access for abuse.

5. Intellectual property

The service, its alert packs, designs, sounds and code remain ours (or our licensors'). Your stream and your channel remain yours. Beta access does not grant you any license beyond using the service for your own stream.

6. Pricing

The beta is free. WES Alert will become a paid service after the beta. Beta testers will be informed of pricing before being asked to pay anything, and nothing will be charged without your explicit action.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any damage arising from the use of a free beta service is excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Privacy

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy. It is part of these terms.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms during the beta; significant changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email. These terms are governed by French law. Contact: [email protected].
